| The official training program of the Institute of Defense Technology. The RAVEN Method is a modern approach to reality based self defense training. The RAVEN Method incorporates the very best principles and training concepts from Law Enforcement defensive tactics and Military close quarter combat. The RAVEN Method also delves into the realities of psychological and physiological training. The The RAVEN Method course is a 6 Phase program which covers the spectrum of armed and unarmed combatives. Unarmed combatives include standing and ground applications of strikes, Joint destructions, take downs, chokes, and multiple attacker scenarios, all techniques are taught appropriately across the entire use of force continuam. Armed combatives include the use of the pocket stick, police baton, riot baton, knife, flexible weapons, chemical weapons and firearms. The methods shown are designed to be fast and aggressive for maximum effect. |
