Director of Operations:
This person is Responsible for all business activities and marketing within
the ICSDA and serves as Leader to the Executive Board. The Director of
Operations is the final decision maker for all business and training
matters for the Regional, State and Foreign activities.
Co-Director of Operations:
This person is Responsible for assisting the Director of Operations in all
business activities and marketing within the ICSDA. The Deputy Director
of Operations sits on the Executive Board
Executive Board:
The Executive Board consists of 4 members. The Executive board is
consulted on all major decisions regarding the operation of the ICSDA.
Director Combat Martial Arts Division:
This person is responsible for all business related to the combat martial
arts division of the ICSDA. This director reports directly to the Director of
operations.
Director Modern Defense Division:
This person is responsible for all business related to the Modern defense
division of the ICSDA. This director reports directly to the Director of
operations.
Director of Communications:
This person is responsible for all advertising, public relations and other
public communications. This director reports directly to the Director of
operations.
Chaplin:
This person serves an honorary role in the association. This person is
responsible for addressing the needs of the ICSDA’s Faith based
members. This director reports directly to the Director of operations.
Continental Director:
A Continental Country Director is entrusted to oversee operations and
member relations through out their assigned Continental. The
Continental Director can organize training events, and other related
activities within their assigned region. Continental Directors have the
authority to appoint National directors through out their region with the
approval of the executive board. The Continental Director reports
directly to the Director of Operations. Continental Director positions are
held for a 24 months, at which time they can be renewed or removed
from the position.
Country Director:
A Country Director is entrusted to oversee operations and member
relations through out their assigned Country. The Country Director can
organize training events, and other related activities within their
assigned region. Country Directors have the authority to appoint
Regional & state directors through out their region with the approval of
the executive board. The Country Director reports directly to the
Continental director. Country Director positions are held for a 24
months, at which time they can be renewed or removed from the
position.
Regional Director:
The United States is separated into Regions, comprised of several states.
The regional director is entrusted to oversee operations and member
relations through out their assigned region. The Regional Director can
organize training events, and other related activities within their
assigned region. Regional Directors have the authority to appoint state
directors through out their region with the approval of the executive
board. The regional Director reports directly to the Director of
Operations. Regional Director positions are held for a 24 months, at
which time they can be renewed or removed from the position.
State Director:
State Directors are entrusted to oversee operations and member
relations through out their assigned state. The Regional Director can
organize training events, and other related activities within their state of
operation. The State Director reports directly to their Regional Director
or the Director of Operations. State Director positions are held for a 12
months, at which time they can be renewed or removed from the
position.
Certified Instructor:
Certified Instructor Membership is available for individuals who are
deemed by the ICSDA staff to be legitimate and reputable instructors of a
ICSDA recognized program in the fields of Combatives, Self Defense,
Defensive Tactics or Combat Martial Arts. Certified instructor
membership is granted specifically in the area of expertise. Being a
Certified instructor in the ICSDA is meaningful. It is a designation we
take very seriously. Being a certified instructor means that the ICSDA
believes you are a qualified instructor teaching practical and realistic
material whether it be Combatives, self defense, or martial arts. This
Designation is available only to those individuals who have successfully
completed one the official ICSDA Instructor Certification Programs or
those willing to submit to a full evaluation by a grading panel either in
person or via video. There are currently 5 levels of Instructorship The
only exception to this policy is for those instructors who are employed as
trainers by a public law enforcement or military agency. For example a
staff instructor for the US Army or a trainer at the police academy. For

students or instructors in the association, but support the goals of the
