| Adaptive Combat Tactics: Impact Weapons Level II The A.C.T. Impact Weapons Course, Module One, which takes approximately 8 hours of instruction to complete, is designed to teach the basics of impact weapons combat. It is structured for the individual with no stick fighting experience. The student will be taught to properly to hold the weapon, strike with the weapon, and defend against incoming strikes. This course concentrates on long range and medium range stick vs. stick engagements. In addition, the student will be instructed how to continue his or her attack, should their strikes be impeded. Various footwork methods and striking patterns are presented to make attacking and defending more efficient. Finally, through various drills and sparring the student will develop their reaction time, timing, and muscle memory to effectively defend them self against an impact weapon. Adaptive Combat Tactics: Impact Weapons Level II A.C.T. Impact Weapons Module Two delves into close quarters stick fighting. The student will learn joint destructions, submission holds, strangulation techniques, takedowns, and escapes. In addition, stick vs. stick disarms and empty hand vs. stick disarms are presented. The student must have a firm grasp of the material from module one in order to effectively incorporate the techniques of module 2. Apprentice Instructor Level Anyone wishing to obtain instructor certification in A.C.T. Impact Weapons must demonstrate good proficiency of the material from Module One and Two. This may be done at certified locations or through video. In addition, they must continue their training with A.C.T. Module Three- Advance Impact Weapons. Module Three presents advanced attacks and counters, drills, disarms, stick grappling, and teaching techniques All apprentice instructors must pass a certification test either in person at certified locations or through video to obtain full instructor certification. All certified instructors will receive a numbered certificate authorizing them to teach A.C.T. Impact Weapons. **Testing fees are included in the purchase of this DVD series** |
